Solo Show of Artworks by:
Arya Chandra Choudhury
2nd - 21st March 2010.
--------------------------------------------------------
In these rapid fluctuating times when truth is continuously changing its shape or a lie has promoted intentionally in the wrapper of great idealism, an insecure confused mind begins to search some shelter of faith, peace and true happiness.
Throughout the world the horror of uncertainty, violence and exploitation pervades the mind of sensible people.
As an artist I evolve my own unique way of expression through those drawbacks. I take all these drawbacks in my stride for giving a better look to the world. Human beings and human relationships comprise my main focus. Sometimes I draw my forms and contents from my experiences.
My images have tried to reach a certain kind of solitude and silent romanticism which sometime descriptive and lyrical. Often I look through our own mythological characters and events to magnify my personal failures and success, as well as to amalgamate the value of past and parameter of the present.
I feel, social pathogen can only be eradicated by cultural therapy, and throughout my paintings I am trying to touch a vision where some alien object or form or even emotion has juxtaposed with a very common matter – thereby find a solution of faith in our life.
